Celebrate Every Day (skirt! 2013) with my former married name on the cover
Celebrate Every Day
This book idea came to me in the very earliest stages of my writing endeavors. I was a huge Martha Stewart fan, but in my early twenties, I didn’t have a lot of money for entertaining friends. So instead I thought it might be cool to entertain my own family. That’s what this book is about—not giving all the good stuff to the neighbors, but creating lasting memories with your loved ones around food, books, and music.
It’s still easily available on amazon, but is getting harder to find through independent sellers. I might one day decide to sell it here on the website.
Coming Soon
A while back, I finished a book set in the late 18th Century about a physician’s apprentice. I have been telling people it’s as if Johnny Tremain and Emma Woodhouse had a book baby together.
Brodi Ashton, who helped me write my query, says it’s 127 Hours meets Hamilton.
This handsome young man to the right is close to what I imagine my main character looks like right before all hell breaks loose in his life.
I submitted it to agents in 2018, and I got some great feedback: 1) that they didn’t have a vision for how to sell it, and 2) that it could use a few tweaks. As soon as I know the best way to implement those tweaks, I will edit the whole thing and submit it again!
UPDATE (04/06/2026). I know what I must do with this book! More information coming soon.

Other Projects and Interests
I am currently working on a cookbook about Elevenses—-the meal, not our snail mail club. Currently, subscribers to our snail mail club are getting iterations of the recipes as I develop them.
As for cookbooks, I have another one of those cooking up in my head as well.
