Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Jaime M. Kirby, and I am passionate about lots of things.
At the moment, here are some of the things that fill me with joy:
Tea — the afternoon tea, garden party, elevenses kind of tea
Baking — specifically the baking that goes with tea
Regenerative agriculture — Though I’m not a farmer, I do have a daydream of one day having a pumpkin patch with an events center. But for now, I really believe regenerative farming will save the world. So I’m trying to spread the word.
Interviewing and chatting with interesting people — And I believe everyone is interesting—you just have to ask the right questions
Writing — I do have dreams of working in a writers room for a sitcom. But for now, I’m just trying to figure out how to be funny. I might be taking some risks here and on my YouTube channel. If you once knew me as good little Jaime Mormann, you might be in for a surprise or two.
Design — Graphic, Illustration, Photography, Lifestyle, and Interiors. I also appreciate good packaging design. When I opened my first iMac 2002, I experienced something pretty close to an orgasm. (See? I told you I’ll be taking risks. I’m just warming up.)
Magic* and Manifesting — This is my very loose umbrella term for everything from creativity & spirituality, to tarot & oracle readings, to self-improvement & mental health.
*People have used the term magic to mean “fake” or “impossible.” For me, magic is a simple way to describe anything in this life that is above and beyond the ordinary. Does something bring you joy or light you up inside? That, to me, is magic.
Long ago, between 2008 and 2013, I created and ran a successful little mommy food blog. It was a passion project that, looking back on, was a glorious chapter of my life. I got to travel for it, I had brand deals, and I even wrote a cookbook that eventually led to meeting the love of my life.
After five years of running that blog and being a stay-at-home, single mom of three, I was exhausted and needed a rest and a reset. The universe delivered big time! My site was hacked, and then I eventually let my domain name fall into the wrong hands.
